Another treat container!

Ok, I just typed up a whole post and it got deleted. Guess I won't press THAT button again! lol

Ok, this little box was one I made for my Christmas stamp camp as part of the door prize survey drawings. I got the directions here http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com2007/09/batty-for-you-basket.html and used up some of Stampin' Up's holiday paper I have from last year along with my hoarded Cranberry Crisp cardstock. I actually drew three names for the door prize surveys and gave these away for the #2 and #3 winners. They got to choose one of these and either a pkg. of recipe cards I made (no pic - yet) and/or a bag of "Faux Primas" - pic to follow soon.

More peeks at the Christmas card class

Here's another card we did at my Christmas card stamp camp on Friday night. I really like the idea of the scallop circle punch being an ornament, but I needed to fill in the space on the lower right hand side of the card. That's where my cute little Merry & Bright set came in. I didn't purchase it initially, but I've sure seen some cute samples done with it. I used my marker to ink up only the saying on the snowman stamp. The colors on this card are Encore Silver, Night of Navy, Brocade Blue and Whisper White.

I'm on a roll!

Hee hee! I'm on a roll, so thought I'd post another card that we made. Everyone loved this one and a few even ordered all the supplies to make it.

Cardstock is Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke and Shimmery White cardstock. We stamped the holly leaf in artichoke, then took the burgundy marker and colored over the artichoke ink for the berries. I couldn't find my newest gold cord from SU, and had a whole roll of the old cording left, so used that for the "hanger" and added a burgundy grosgrain bow. I did find out that many ladies were "bow challenged" and I had to tie them for them. Many years of practice I tell them! It comes easy for me and I don't mind.

Christmas Stamp Camp Giveaway

I also had the girls fill out door prize drawing slips. I haven't done that in quite awhile and knew that there would be new to me stampers there that might want to join my mailing list. I ended up drawing 3 names, the #1 winner winning this little gem. It's an altered Crystal Light container using our Creepy Crawly designer paper. I also crimped a piece of black cardstock and added the spider from Booglie Eyes as a tag. Oh, and I also added two different size wiggly eyes to complete the project! Thanks for looking!

Christmas Card Stamp Camp

On Friday, I held a Christmas Card Stamp Camp with 23 ladies in attendance. Everyone created five cards, two of each design. Here's just a sampling of one of those cards.

This card uses the Season of Joy set featured in the Holiday Mini Collection 2007. The cardstock is whisper white, real red and wild wasabi. Embossed circles with the Crop-a-dile and a little doodling and it's done!

Matted Frame

This picture is a framed piece that we did at one of my last club meetings. The hostess had requested that we do a mat for a frame and this is what I came up with. I started with stamping French Script in White craft ink randomly over the cardstock. The flowers were then stamped with Lavender Lace then Vintage Violet overlay. The leaves are stamped in garden green then overstamped with certainly celery. We then took several stipple brushes and stippled both lavender and vintage ink all over the cardstock so as to muddy it up a bit. Various hodgepodge hardware was added as well as a saying. The photo corners were made using the 1/4" square punch then using the 1-1/4" square punch, slice the punched out square in half and paper pierce the corners. Voila! My daughter loved this and I now have orders from the rest of my kids!

Jumping on the Blog Bandwagon!

Well, I guess I'll jump on the blog bandwagon - everyone else has already and I feel I'm the last one! To get us started off, here's a card I did recently at a club meeting. It's a tri-fold card. Everyone oohed and aahed at this one. It's really a neat fold and has so many possibilities. Shown here are the inside and the outside of the card.
